Catching up

I heard about a contest on the 10th, sponsored by Nintendo. We have one month to make a video of either objects in life imitating the Wii game World of Goo, or use the create mode in WoG to imitate life. I chose the former (as I don't have the game. But I really want it :P) and decided to go with stop-motion.

Stop Motion is a method of making videos by taking photographs and putting it together frame-by-frame. The entry could contain no violence, no songs except what they gave you, no registered characters' names, etc. So I knew (having recently made the 16 second long Greshx_x video) that it would take quite a while to put together a minute of footage, the minimum for the entry. I had my friend Simeon over to spend two nights, which would give us 24 hours to shoot. So we did.

I won't upload the video yet, but here are the credits as a little teaser.

This is going to win me a Wii, DSi, $100 worth of download points, a sound-system, a 52" flat-screen TV, and a trip for two to LA, btw. Hopefully.

Ahhh help

Okay. 

So it was back in April '08 when I bought the domain of Gamah Watch (that means I had the right to publish to gamahwatch.com) and I used Google Apps with my domain, which means I could do some cool stuff with Gamah Watch...

LIKE use Google Pages.

Okay. NOW, we changed the name of my Web site to GNNHQ.com, which means I bought another domain this January, and used Google Apps on that. However, since it was bought in January, I wasn't able to get Google Pages on that, because Google had disabled GP for all new users. GP was where I hosted all my graphics/images for GNN, so I just had to keep using Gamah Watch'suploader.

BUT, since GW expires on April 5th, I won't have Gamah Watch's Google Pages anymore, which leaves me without a image uploader host.

Soooo, if you know of any please tell me. I've already tried Google Sites, photobucket, and flickr. I need a place where you can upload new versions of the file to the same URL.

BIONICLE Stop Motion Video

Sim and I made this last night/this morning. It's our first stop motion vid, meaning it is put together by multiple frames (pictures) - 170, to be exact.

It's sixteen seconds long. Also, fishing-line is never used on Skrall, the red figure. 

We used Windows Movie Maker, and Mom helped me resize the pix because we forgot to turn down the resolution on my 10MP cam. Now I'm working on music and putting it on a DVD, just for fun.

Lock-In

So we had a youth group Lock-in at one of my youth groups. A few of my friends were there, and John called it a "manfest" because there were no girls :P We played dodgeball, ate pizza and gummy worms, and stayed up the whole time. We watched a documentary called Expelled (Intelligent Design vs. Darwin's theory) and Open Season 2 (like the funniest movie ever). 

The next day I took two involuntary naps, and slept-talked to one of my friends on the phone. I'm pretty good now.
